In the end, it is almost impossible to carve out your own mini-country within a city. That being said I wish them luck in their experiment.

Using the principles they espouse, yeah, impossible.

If they truly want to be autonomous and the host country will allow it, they need to get outside of a city and carve out a rural plot and start building. But that requires a work ethic and I don't see that among these young Americans. What they really want is to be taken care of but not live by any rules. Such a place can only exist in the household where their parents spoil them.

This I'm more sympathetic towards to be honest. They weren't doing this because they felt they didn't need any law and order, they were doing it to be able to settle down and have a place to call home.

As I mentioned, the CHAZ has a reddit forum. I found it quite funny that there is a post saying they are making a Conflict Resolution Advisory Council (CRAC ) to deal with any internal issues. Honestly it reads like satire so I'm not sure if this is somebody just posting a joke or if they are actually doing this. At first the council was going to include 3 members (One black man, one black women and one white women) and now its just totally devolved into an oppression Olympics. The white woman was removed from the proposal and it was updated to add "1 Asian non-male, 1 Native American non-male, and 1 Latinx non-male, and then 4 additional Black men and women". Then came the complaints about disabled representation The last update now includes that the CRAC should have LGBT representation also and have included 3 more seats on the council and I quote:

two of which are to give a voice to the disadvantaged LGBTQIA community, and one to give children equal representation and fairness. The new seats include one for a LGBTQI-identifying Black disabledperson, one for a LGBTQI-identifying Black homelessperson, and one for a non-white or mixed race child between the ages of 8 and 15.

This reminds me when that democratic socialist organisation had a meeting and they couldn't get anything done because everybody was too busy virtue signalling. That's the only reason why I think this might be true because I've seen it before otherwise I would outright reject this as someone taking the mickey.

I'll be more surprised if they are actually able to fill all those affirmative action positions. A non-male Native American is quite specific, do they even have anybody there that fits that description? They don't have a population of 300 million people to chose from anymore they only have the people who decided to join them in the LARPing experiment of theirs.

So Basically, there are more attempts to try and set-up Autonomous Zones over the country. This is completely nuts.

Demonstrators in Nashville, Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina have attempted to emulate protesters in Seattle by establishing police-free 'autonomous zones' protected by barricades, as police union officials in Seattle warn that their city is on the verge of 'lawlessness'.
The efforts in Tennessee and North Carolina were met with a strong response from local authorities, in contrast to Seattle where demonstrators in the 'CHAZ' have taken control of a police precinct and remain manning the barricades armed after five days.

My word, this is just the biggest attempt at LARPing I have ever seen.
