Oh I have no disagreement about THAT. I am pretty much 100% against this stimulus for the same reason I was against it in 2008/2009. There are programs in place to help those who need help. They may need supplemental money, but stealing $2T from generations that have not been born yet so we don't have to endure discomfort in the present is not a defensible position, IMO. We should be supporting one another, those who have should be helping those who do not; those who are healthy should be helping those who are not (physically or psychologically). We should simply ride this out together. Some businesses will fail. Some businesses will thrive. Businesses that fail will be replaced when all of this is over, and life will go on.

Fiscal responsibility is now a quaint, obsolete notion. And it doesn't help that we have a person in the Oval Office who doesn't care because our massive debt "won't be a problem until he's out of office."

You seriously don't think the Democrats are worried either, do you? After all, Trump can't do this without them, and they're wanting to add MORE money!

Fiscal responsibility was one of the few things I used to be largely aligned with the Republicans on. Now that too, along with so much of what the Republican party used to stand for, is abandoned in favor of "Trumpism."

Meh -- I think it's time to pull the chain --- they ALL need to go, and be replaced with citizen legislators and representatives.

Coronavirus. Pretty much stuck at home or the office, and tied to a computer, so might as well say howdy.

It suddenly occurred to me when somebody was playing one of those Facebook things - "list all the jobs you've ever had" - that my very FIRST paid job was picking pickles! I was just a kid, and was paid by the bushel for picking pickles, and quite a few pecks of pickles did poke pick!

I'm in full favor of eliminating the concept of "career politician" from the US. Let's restore the concept that it's a public service by making politics a low-paying part-time job, and strict term limits for every office. Nobody should ever be able to get rich by being a politician.

Yeah - here too. Fortunately I am now (mostly) retired. So we're spending our time on helping out in the community, home projects, a 4,000 piece puzzle, and watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe in chronological order. It's SO exciting!

Umm...I hate to tell you this, CP, but pickles don't actually grow that way...
