  • Does Trump Really Want a Second Term?

I've seen and heard this discussed, that Trump almost seems to be TRYING to be impeached.

Note that the poll is pretty much INVERSE of the thread title.

No way he doesn't. If there's anything he hates, it's losing.

I've heard that mostly from liberals who have assumed his guilt without evidence.

He's definitely egging the Democrats on, but I think it's more because he knows they don't have the guts and not because he really wants them to follow through.

Of course he wants a second term, he wants it desperately. He is keenly aware that if he's impeached or loses in 2020, and is no longer a sitting president, he's got a lot a splainen to do in court. I figure he'll try and flee into the arms of his best bud, Vlad in Russia.

I think he might like the attention he's getting. I don't know if anyone "wants" impeachment, but Donald Trump has a very long history of doing things just for attention.

No, I really doubt he wants to be impeached. There really isn't much more to Trump than a brand, and being only the third president to be impeached will forever tarnish that brand. Plus, the sooner he becomes a non-president, the sooner he's eligible for indictment!

I doubt he will ever be indicted. Once he's out of office, he'll no longer be a political threat to the Democrats, and they'll most likely just ignore him. Kind of like how Republicans stopped paying attention to Obama and Hillary once they became political non-entities.

Eh, took two weeks to actually issue a subpoena instead of a simple request (which was asinine but they did it) and Pelosi still won't hold a floor vote - not exactly 'no guts, no glory' so far...
