The reason you have a special counsel investigate these matters is so that the decisions flowing from the investigation are apolitical. If Mueller could not make a decision about obstruction after two years, it is very odd that Barr could make a decision after two days.

Barr doesn't have to "reinvestigate" it -- Mueller and 40some FBI agents already did the work.

His predetermined view was that obstruction is impossible without an underlying crime, and that crime was collusion.

Actually, "collusion" is not necessarily a crime.

No doubt the Libs will keep on trying, having failed to find collusion, which is what everybody was absolutely DETERMINED would be proven.

I think the term is "vindicated" - He has been declaring he did not collude with the Russians all along. The report vindicates him.

Slowly and what appears with considerable reluctance a few of his critics are starting to use the "V" word to describe what happened. IIRC, that was what ABC News White House Correspondent Jon Karl told The View shrews wrt the allegation about collusion while they were still deep in denialism and putting forth conspiracy theories. Likewise Ken Dilanian, NBC News national security reporter, admitted on MSNBC's Kasie DC that the Mueller report was "complete vindication" of Trump and on Twitter wrote

Also on MSNBC, right after the news broke, NBC national security and justice correspondent Julia Ainsley was reading the details, explaining that "Robert Mueller weighed in and said, 'that was not tacit. There was no coordination or conspiracy.'" causing host Katy Tur to interject, "So, this vindicates the President on collusion." Ainsley replied, "It does. So, it would vindicate him on collusion."

And on CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin announced that the report was a "total vindication" for Trump.

To pretend that it was Barr working on his own in a partisan manner is either ignorant or dishonest. Since I already showed you the evidence, I'm inclined to go with the latter.

For instance, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, known as the Queen of Collusion, is not backing down but rather is doubling down resorting to conspiracy theories where Attorney General William Barr deliberately misrepresenting Mueller's report.

On his MSNBC Hardball show Chris Matthews continues to angrily rant "If the President was so damn innocent, why does it take two years to get cleared of collusion?" One of his panelists, former Obama speechwriter Ben Rhodes announced that he summarily rejects Barr's 4-page summary because he is a Trump appointee.

On CNN the host of OutFront Erin Burnett is still insisting that the report is phony based on Rep. Adam Schiff's (D-Cal) oft repeated claim that he has mountains direct evidence of collusion between Trump and the Russians. While discussing the matter with CNN crime and justice reporter Shimon Prokupecz she actually suggested that Mueller never actually looked into the matter of collusion saying "Was that even part of Mueller's investigation answering that question?"

As for Schiff himself, he is doubling down still proclaiming that "Undoubtedly there is collusionNew York Times they have a front page story questioning the credibility of Barr Barr was appointed for a certain job, which is to ensure that Trump is above the law. All of this conveniently overlooks the fact that others like Rod Rosenstein, certainly no friend of Trump's, were also involved in releasing the summary.

OTOH, New York Times columnist David Brooks, who had predicted that Trump will either resign or be impeached within a year, is saying that the left and the Never Trumpers owe Trump an apology
