I'm nowhere near as slow as you are, since you can't grasp that a government that makes the transition from supporting the masses to oppressing the masses is no longer left-wing.
Jorge: Functional Complex Information is INFORMATION that is complex and functional.

MM: First of all, the Bible is a fixed document.
MM on covid-19: We're talking about an illness with a better than 99.9% rate of survival.

Depends on how you define "oppress". Making the masses completely reliant on you as a government is just as much oppression as a pimp oppressing his prostitutes.

The first three are generally not good for society as a whole. It is a simple fact that there is a hard line to define between personal freedom and actions dangerous or detrimental to society as a whole, but there is a region beyond which actions that are on the other side of that region must be illegal. Stealing and Murder are clearly detrimental to the capacity for civilized society. They are also almost universally illegal. Likewise long term commitment and the security of a two parent family are primary to raising children that are properly conditioned to function as productive adults in a society, hence adultery and divorce are almost universally discouraged. Polygamy is a mixed bag. Identity is important, a male with many females, while it has other issues, allows each child to know who the father and mother are, in addition to the fact that in the human species, males are dominant. As a result, most polygamies that are tolerated are male/many female. But in general, most modern civilized societies do not tolerate polygamy because in general it is a bad idea for the society. All drugs have problems, including alcohol, but some are worse than others. Drugs whose pull on people is so strong that the majority of people become controlled by the drug can't be allowed because it destroys the society. Some drugs are really close to that line and thus can be debated. Pornography is strongly correlated with crime and drugs in its production. STD's are also a problem for participants. The degradation/objectification of women (majority) or men (minority) is also an issue. Pornography is also addictive, like a drug, though it is not necessarily a physical addition. The sex drive is too strong to be allowed to rule unconstrained, without limits on sexual activity the family is destroyed and thus the society. Pornography's effect then - in general - is to increase unconstrained sexual activity. And as such it has a significant destructive influence on our society - especially in the youngest generation.

I love how you think I'll be so offended by you calling me a conservative, when I thought I'd made it clear I don't respect your opinion. Also, babe, it's not about you being a lib. This is something a lot of atheists react to, and it's absolutely hilarious when they do, so thanks!

Your statement that a transgender woman is in a man's body is pretty close to being the definition of transgender, but it seems like you think by stating it you are somehow making a relevant point. It's not as if liberals are claiming the transgender woman isn't in a man's body.
Wow. This will get you accused of bigotry in most leftist circles, Starlight. I'd be careful about these outdated claims. A transwoman's body is female if they say it is, stop being so transphobic. They have periods if they say so, too.

They aren't or weren't, because US conservatives, who you claim want "as little interference in our business or our personal lives as possible", have at various times called for and passed laws against them.

So don't pretend US conservatives don't want government to interfere in business or personal lives, because the passing of hundreds of laws against personal choices from miscegenation to mosque-building Sunday trading prove you wrong.

Simple - I didn't do any of those things. I only posted definitions of "left-wing" and "right-wing". The rest is straw-men created by your paranoid fantasy.

Now run along back under your bridge.
