Right and I have ten years in the field as a Group Home manager for the mentally ill. And the fact is if you go to a psychiatrist today (here in the US at least) for something like depression or anxiety the first thing they are going to do is put you on meds. The only therapy out there worth its salt cognitive therapy, but the individual needs to be highly motivated. And the studies on prayer are not about community but about the person's view of God. Psychology as a profession offers no hope, not in the sense that religion can.

I know from experience that psychology, as a profession, can be extremely effective despite your trivializing of it as just handing out pills. This as opposed to the confirmation bias of religious solutions, which basically just promote the power of positive thinking among believers.

If it is toxic, it is toxic. The only thing that allows for the description of that behaviour to include "masculinity" is the fact that the person doing it is male. But it is a much more a common behaviour from women. Perhaps he should be accused of appropriation?

Trump supporters are in no position to take the moral high ground regarding Biden. Biden has been accused of making some women uncomfortable, nothing more.
