I said the same thing about "toxic masculinity" earlier in the thread, that if a man is just being rude or a jerk that isn't "masculinity" it is just a person being a jerk, and it was dismissed.

But you know, the only place I really encounter these liberal nutjobs is on the internet and in the media. In real life, I never seem to see these elusive "woke" creatures. I haven't had any women yell at me for being a gentlemen, or calling me toxic. Maybe I just don't live in the right (I mean "left") area of the country.

As I've recounted before (in this very thread) I was a kid vacationing with relatives in Minnesota the first time I heard the term "male chauvinist" which a woman called me because I held the door open for her. That would have been likely around 1970-71.

Would I jump out of the car and run around it in order to open the door for a perfectly healthy and capable woman any more than I would for a healthy and capable man? No. But I would and do, in either case, when it would actually be of a help to them. Would you open a car door for a man? Apparently not. Why?
