In spite of a virtual blackout of coverage by the MSM (I'm not sure if they even reviewed it[1]) much like how they covered the trial[2] it made it into the Top 10 films at the box office when it opened being the #1 independent movie of the weekend and was either #5 or #8 (depends on the source) per screen average across the U.S. This is impressive since it only opened in roughly 750 venues.

Still, it brought in well less than half what "Fahrenheit 11/9" did although that film opened in 1720 theaters and received a great deal of press coverage and numerous positive reviews. Speaking of reviews, "Gosnell" received a fresh critic score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, which says a lot considering the delight in which liberal critics take in trashing conservative movies. And it also received a 99% score in terms of general audience approval.

    1. NBC covered it after it opened proclaiming in their headline "Legal abortion is vilified by the pro-life Gosnell movie"

    2. only reluctantly showing up during the last couple of days by being shamed into it by the pictures of the empty press box circulating on social media
