I'm still of the opinion that Ford is complicit in all of this.

To some degree, no doubt - I don't think she's a total ditz, and I do believe she is quite political.

Indeed we are. There's a lot of craft breweries (and even micro-distilleries) here in good ol' Saskatchewan. One of my favorite is Black Bridge Brewery, especially their Barleywine.

I don't buy her "innocent victim" routine, especially not in light of recent revelations.

I was suspicious from day one - it seemed she was trying too hard to play the "scared little girl" - unless, of course, she's not all there, and that's actually her persona. Like I said, from the time she was sworn in, she had to look to her attorney to see how to do it.

                  • Meanwhile, in WhatAboutismLand....

The Minnesota DFL Party's attempt to find a law enforcement agency willing to investigate a domestic abuse claim against U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison was mired in uncertainty on Wednesday, after the Minneapolis Police Department said it would seek to refer the case to another jurisdiction.

Earlier Wednesday, the DFL asked Minneapolis police to investigate the allegation after both a city attorney and a county prosecutor declined to review a report the party commissioned that did not substantiate the allegation.

"Due to a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest, the Minneapolis Police Department will not be handling the matter involving Congressman Keith Ellison," read a police statement. "The Minneapolis Police Department is in communication with other law enforcement agencies who we may refer this case to."

Charlene Briner, a senior adviser for the party, had told the Star Tribune that the DFL sent its investigative report to the Minneapolis Police Department "and asked that they investigate the claims described in the report to determine whether any criminal conduct occurred."

The party asked the Lockridge Grindal Nauen law firm in August to probe an allegation by Ellison's former girlfriend, Karen Monahan, that the Democratic candidate for attorney general tried to drag her off a bed during a fight in August. He denies it. Susan Ellingstad, the attorney who wrote the 15-page report, found merit in both parties' statements but concluded that the claim could not be substantiated because Monahan refused to provide a video of the incident that Monahan insists exists.

There is a claim he "dragged her off the bed" --- isn't that enough to kick his butt out of office RIGHT NOW?!?!?!

I only partially agree. Kavanaugh showing some anger was understandable if he believes himself innocent. But he went pretty far with it sometimes, too far in my opinion.

A point I heard someone make today:

When was the last time you or someone you know went to a job interview, and cried throughout and yelled at the interviewers and denounced a conspiracy to stop you getting the job... and you got the job?

You know better then that the Democrats are always innocent no matter how much evidence to the contrary and Republicans are always guilty no matter how much lack of or contrary evidence there is. We now live in a country where your political view determines your guilt or innocence. Ask Starlight, Tass, JimL et al.

this is the country Jiml and his ilk want to live in where unless you have the right political view Welcome the 1984* salem witch trials**.

**How the Democrats and their low information supporters on this board are treating Kavanaugh.

Wrong Starlight this is a smear campaign not a job interview. This is about an accusation based on lack of and/or contrary evidence will follow him the rest of his life He has every right to be angry, if he is innocent as the evidence coming out now is pointing to.

Yeah, there were a couple times when he got downright snitty, and I was embarrassed for him.

This was a job interview like Custer's Last Stand was a Meet and Greet.
