You're quite determined to retain your title as TWeb's least truthful poster, aren't you? When I was a Christian I used to always think there was a Christian obligation to truthfulness, but clearly that's not part of your wacky US conservative culture.

They're not objecting to her being a religious person, or to being a Christian. They're objecting to the weird non-orthodox cult she seems to be a part of.

This is incredibly tacky - that you disagree with Rogue does not mean he is lying. You must live a terribly unhappy life.

She belongs to a very conservative group of Catholics and because the women leaders call themselves "handmaids" they tried to twist that into being equivalent to the incredibly silly, nonsensical fictional Handmaid's Tale. Note they were around well before the book was written.

Your last comment reminds me of how the MSM raised the specter of Antisemitism when Joe Lieberman was picked to be Al Gore's running mate saying that conservative Christians would have issues with his being an Orthodox Jew but it turned out that it was those on the left like Jesse Jackson who wanted him to sign the equivalent of a loyalty oath that he would place American interests over those of Israel.

I'm always still in trouble again

Without commenting on this specific case, I disagree that criticism of a candidate's religious beliefs is necessarily religious bigotry. Being a Scientologist would be totally disqualifying because the person would be unable to operate independently of Clearwater given the level of control they operate.

a difference of opinion is not lying Starlight, I guess refusing to understand that is a part of the wacky New Zealand Leftist culture. Or is it just you Starlight showing your bias against views you disagree with but don't' have a real argument against.

I checked the group out it was nothing like the cult your regressive* er progressive sources made it appear to be, it is just a group of like minded people. But what can we expect of the modern day so called progressives who want to shut down views they disagree, instead of engaging said views with sound arguments they falsely accuse people or groups who hold said views as bigoted, raciest, cultish etc... One would think they are afraid to engage opposing views.

I think that the "progressives" get all triggered over the use of words like "handmaiden". Oh the horrors that a woman would see herself as a handmaiden of the Most High God!

But it is not the case here with Amy Coney Barret. do the democrats even know the difference between a group of like minded individuals and a cult? It doesn't' seem so as I pointed out in my previous post.

This is not the first time democrats have unconstitutionally used the religious test against a Christian with no reason. last year Bernie Sanders went off on a Christian who held fast to the fundemental Christian truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Bernie Sanders out and out said that he would vote no just because of his faith not because he didn't think he was qualified for the job

They have to put the worst view on that statement they can so they can hide the fact that it is they who want to control how others live their lives not the Conservatives who want to live and let live.
