Since I didn't believe you, I watched the segment. They weren't attacking her for being Christian, they were concerned about the cult she belongs to...

Your last comment reminds me of how the MSM raised the specter of Antisemitism when Joe Lieberman was picked to be Al Gore's running mate saying that conservative Christians would have issues with his being an Orthodox Jew but it turned out that it was those on the left like Jesse Jackson who wanted him to sign the equivalent of a loyalty oath that he would place American interests over those of Israel.
I'm always still in trouble again

Without commenting on this specific case, I disagree that criticism of a candidate's religious beliefs is necessarily religious bigotry. Being a Scientologist would be totally disqualifying because the person would be unable to operate independently of Clearwater given the level of control they operate."I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! But what can we expect of the modern day so called progressives who want to shut down views they disagree, instead of engaging said views with sound arguments they falsely accuse people or groups who hold said views as bigoted, raciest, cultish etc... One would think they are afraid to engage opposing views.

This is not the first time democrats have unconstitutionally used the religious test against a Christian with no reason. last year Bernie Sanders went off on a Christian who held fast to the fundemental Christian truth that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Bernie Sanders out and out said that he would vote no just because of his faith not because he didn't think he was qualified for the job
