Not everything. I know / care almost not at all about sport, pop culture, music, art, etc. I'm a geek with an interest in half a dozen or so overlapping fields. I disdain adultery just as strongly as I do homosexuality. The problem is our dying society already has little problem with that or any other sexual sins. Homosexuality is just one more step downward in our social decline.

Acknowledging the reality of of homosexuality and granting homosexuals equal rights is one of the few positive steps in our civilisation. What's bringing about the undoubted decline in society is the moral hypocrisy (e.g. Trump and his supporters), increasing violence, gross social inequity and the denial of the undoubted reality of scientific knowledge, notably climate change. The USA is leading the way in all these things.

I'm a lot more optimistic than that. I think gay rights has been but one of many many positive steps our civilization has been making. I think the ways in which society is declining are few and far between (primarily I would point to a loss of personal connections and increasing loneliness as I think modern society has not as-yet developed effective strategies for ensuring there aren't individuals whose human social needs are being overlooked in what is increasingly a globalized world in which many people chat daily to their friends in other countries but don't know their own neighbors) and are vastly outweighed by the many and numerous ways its improving.

Obviously it's possible to feel a bit depressed about the US populace given the election of Trump. However I would regard it as the last-gasp of a crazy generation who is rapidly aging out who has a history of voting for fake TV presidents (Reagan) and monsters (Bush W and his torture programs) so Trump is nothing new in that regard other that making really clear to everyone else just who the crazies are.

No, because it recognises the right of all consenting adults to enter into legal relationships regardless of sexual orientation, something now recognised among the majority in the USA...and many other countries.

Unlike rape and pedophilia, which is a criminal offence, adultery/forincation, and orgies between consenting adults is not illegal and so none of your business. I notice you didn't include oral sex or masturbation on your list of moral outrages. I guess that so long as it's to your personal liking it's a good thing, eh?

It doesn't matter Jim, if you are defending homosexual behavior because it is "natural" then there are a lot of other natural behaviors. So it is a stupid justification. And who knows, perhaps in a few years our culture will become more enlightened and be more accepting of pedophilia. Why not?

I do have to say this is the first time I've seen Trump accused of pedophilia. Was this just a "for good measure" inclusion, or is there actually anything to this allegation?

Yes, well, we, that is most of us, have already been enlightened in both instances, and we are not only defending homosexuals because it is natural, we are also defending them because it is consensual adult behavior and so none of your business. That's one of the problems with religious beliefs, you can't seem to keep them to yourselves.
