He had a desire that Hillary would win. In your words, he was "pulling for Clinton."

Right, but that doesn't explain why he revealed the ongoing investigation into Clinton and didn't reveal the ongoing investigation into Trump. So what are you all talking about? Do you even know? And btw, pulling for her doesn't mean he has more than a mere expectation of her winning like you asserted. You make no sense!

Apparently he thought he was doing Hillary a favor. He was certain she would win and was afraid that her Administration would start with a cloud over it so he figured that by re-opening the investigation it would help to clear the air and wouldn't really hurt her since it was so close to the election that Trump couldn't gain any traction on it.

Not to mention that his wife has mentioned just how utterly "devastated" they were when Hillary lost. And yet Comey told Stephanopoulos that he only "thinks" his wife may have voted for Hillary.

You made the claim that Comey knew something the rest of us didn't, that he had more than just a mere expectation that Hillary would win. Then you couldn't back it up. Demeaning me isn't going to help you.

I made no such claim, Jim.

Would you please cite that claim, using the quote function?

                  thanks

Yep, that's probably right, which has nothing to do with his work at the FBI. Revealing to the public an ongoing investigation into Clinton didn't help her election chances. On the other hand, it did help Trump, and at the time Trump had nothing but praise for Comey. Btw, there was also an ongoing investigation into Trump and his campaign at the same time, and Comey never revealed that investigation to the public. So, seriously, what's your gripe with Comey? I think I know what it is.

Things are happening very quickly today! Comey's infamous memos have been released, one unredacted version to Congress, one redacted for the public because they contain classified info, despite Comey having said under oath that the memos did NOT contain classified information! The memos also apparently contradict Comey on several other points.

Also, I'm hearing that the memos record that Trump did not want the investigation shut down because he wanted to know if anybody had done anything wrong.

Obstruction of justice? What obstruction of justice?

Also the quote from Comey saying that he doesn't leak or do sneaky things is pure gold.

The Republican controlled Congress has made a big mistake in demanding the release of Comey's memo's. They make Comey look even more credible and make Trump look like an ignorant fool. The Comey memos have come back to bite Trump.
