For the sake of accuracy, the memo has been reviewed by Director Wray (over the weekend, in an usual move), and today by two FBI specialists more familiar with the details it involves (one from the counter-intel division, the other a lawyer), and neither identified any inaccuracies. Of course that still leaves room for carping about how "complete" or "balanced" it is.

One wonders whether the whole business has been manufactured by Trump and his team as per the mysterious info that Nunes hid among the WH shrubbery to pick up. Well it seems like this is not merely run-of-the-mill obstruction-of-justice on the part of Nunes. Seemingly he's gone above and beyond to try and discredit the entire FBI and entire Department of Justice. There's now talk of actually prosecuting Mueller and his team.

It's crazy stuff (so I guess it should be right up your alley). And for the party that supposedly loves law enforcement to be starting a conspiracy against two major law enforcement agencies just to try and sabotage the investigation against Trump, is quite amusing and telling.

Did Wray provide any specifics, or is he just vaguely poisoning the well? I guess we'll hear what he has to say once the memo is released, and then we can decide for ourselves if his "grave concerns" have any merit.

The issue is whether or not the Obama administration used improper and possiby illegal means to secure a surveillance warrent against the Trump campaign. If they did then it could kill the special counsel's entire investigation. For one thing, any evidence gathered by improper or illegal means is inadmissible in court. That gives you some idea why Democrats are so desperate to suppress the memo, because all their distant hopes and dreams of impeachment hinge entirely on the investigation, and if Mueller is cut off at the knees then it's game over. Furthermore, it would be a huge boost for Trump if it's proven that the entire Russian conspiracy theory is based on illegal warrents and a phony dossier.

I'm hearing buzz that the memo could be released as early as today, so I guess we'll find out.

One definition of insanity is trying to do something that doesn't work (kinda like me) over and over expecting a different result. Watching you try to banninate the unbannibatable is like watching a particularly dumb puppy run into a wall again and again, never learning any better. Generally I feel sorry for such people, but in your case I just sit back with a tub of popcorn and watch the show (it never gets old).
