A man was standing on a bridge, admiring the fish. He thought about buying some fish food, but wasn't sure he had money with him. He reached for his wallet, but fumbled and dropped it from the bridge into the water. Instantly a fish grabbed his wallet, then another fish grabbed it from that fish, and another fish... and we watched in amazement as he realized he was witnessing......

        carp to carp walleting!

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

For whatever reason, that is indeed the reporting today. At the time I posted that, what I said was consistent with the reporting.

Tom Shil... I mean Adam Schiff is also now alleging that Nunes altered the memo in "material" ways, such that the memo approved for release and the memo delivered to the White House differ.

Like Professor Dershowitz, I favor release of EVERYTHING -- Nunes memo, Schiff memo, FBI/DOJ objections, all underlying data on which memos are based, EVERYTHING.

I know. It's all been very fast moving.

Apparently, the memo that found its way to Trump's desk is NOT the same memo approved by Congress. One wonders whether the whole business has been manufactured by Trump and his team as per the mysterious info that Nunes hid among the WH shrubbery to pick up. You know, the behaviour that forced Nunes to recuse himself from all things Russian

The louder they object, the more it seems there must be something really damning in it.

                    As for Schiff...

Bryon York, Washington Examiner: "Just talked with House Intel source. Said total changes to memo were: A) Unknown number of 'grammatical and clarifying' fixes. B) One change requested by FBI due to sources & methods concerns. C) One two-word change requested by Democrats for accuracy."

Well it seems like this is not merely run-of-the-mill obstruction-of-justice on the part of Nunes. Seemingly he's gone above and beyond to try and discredit the entire FBI and entire Department of Justice. There's now talk of actually prosecuting Mueller and his team.

It's crazy stuff (so I guess it should be right up your alley). And for the party that supposedly loves law enforcement to be starting a conspiracy against two major law enforcement agencies just to try and sabotage the investigation against Trump, is quite amusing and telling.

The FBI has grave concerns about the release of a memo that exposes the agency's corruption? Now there's a shocker.

Did Wray provide any specifics, or is he just vaguely poisoning the well? I guess we'll hear what he has to say once the memo is released, and then we can decide for ourselves if his "grave concerns" have any merit.

The issue is whether or not the Obama administration used improper and possiby illegal means to secure a surveillance warrent against the Trump campaign. If they did then it could kill the special counsel's entire investigation. For one thing, any evidence gathered by improper or illegal means is inadmissible in court. That gives you some idea why Democrats are so desperate to suppress the memo, because all their distant hopes and dreams of impeachment hinge entirely on the investigation, and if Mueller is cut off at the knees then it's game over. Furthermore, it would be a huge boost for Trump if it's proven that the entire Russian conspiracy theory is based on illegal warrents and a phony dossier.

I'm hearing buzz that the memo could be released as early as today, so I guess we'll find out.

The Republican base will love it because they'll get a half-dozen new conspiracy theories to naively buy into. The time the media will have to spend debunking it will take away from the time they can spend paying attention to things like Trump firing FBI deputy-director Andrew McCabe today, and (soon likely) firing deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, as part of the Trump administration clumsily working toward their ongoing goal of sinking the Mueller investigation before it hits.
