That was a big part of what led me to see you as a hypocrite. You were so big on compromise, but ignored my compromises on both abortion and gun control. Don't worry about it now at this point.

I honestly do not remember a proposed compromise. I remember you being adamant that anyone proposing gun control was "taking guns," that there was no source we would both trust to do the currently prohibited necessary research, and that abortion should be made illegal - period - because it's murder. I understand (I think) your position. I don't agree with it - and I do think there is room for motion on both sides. I just don't recall you expressing any willingness to meet partway on the matter.

I have gone back (somewhat quickly) through the thread and I am not finding it. If what I just reflected back is not an accurate reflection of your views - then I most certainly missed something.

I don't do speculative "would haves." IMO, they are pointless. One side says "would have;" the other says "wouldn't have;" and both insist they are right and neither can prove anything. They are usually just exercises in political self-stimulation.
