CP, let me say this again, with more detail, to give it a chance to sink in. I have a relatively minor scoliosis, but one that's aggravated by standing and speaking during large chunks of my day, most every day, for years on end. If I tense up, it becomes quite painful. So I never tense up.

I understand you're trying to be helpful, in some sense, but you're working off the wrong premises. I'm not a partisan.

My allegiance is to the truth, as best it can be discovered, and not just in pursuit of some abstract, virtuous, ethical ideal. During the years I spent as an orphan teenage runaway, to get food and shelter from strangers it was necessary to construct sympathetic lies, made believable by convincing myself they were true. The work it took to peel away those myths was difficult, and had far reaching consequences. In my personal life, it meant giving up things that were important to me, like my Christian faith, and the belief the Cubs would someday win the world series.

On this site, that includes pushing back at the right fringe.

This is hardly the first time I've seen oblique, or even direct, references to Hillary's hit squad on this site. Read generously, your "get me out of here" smiley could be an acknowledgment that it's not a serious suggestion. Jed's didn't include that caveat, or any other. Neither did the posts I've recently read on the Seth Rich conspiracy.

This is not a novel story line.

It's at least as old as Vince Foster's suicide, and it runs through the heart of the right fringe, unchecked, and quite publicly, every time one of her friends dies, most notably after the death of Chris Stevens.

This story line needs a full body check. Are you going to help me on this?

I'd like to think of you as one of the saner participants here, with perhaps the occasional flight into partisan fan fiction. On many occasions, especially when you were first posting here, I've seen you ask others to hold back to carefully consider context, most notably in your story of the paraplegic who refused to exit his vehicle.

Hillary doesn't have, and has never had, a hit squad. The details of how we can be sure of this are as accessible to you as they are to me. In broad terms, such a hit squad would have to be composed of assassins capable of committing murder without any details leaking out to the press years later, which points to the most professional of assassins, likely ex-special forces recruited from the CIA, working domestically for a party that's generally unpopular with rank-and-file members of the special forces, the CIA, the FBI, and local and state law enforcement.
Y'all could try to come off as something other than howling-at-the-moon, rabidly, and ferociously insane. Or, you could keep on suggesting Hillary had her own private hit squad.

If there's anything crazy in the above, it's that it has to be said.

Read it again. It's set up as a dichotomy. On the one hand, there are those who decide to continue suggesting that Hillary had her own private hit squad. On the other, there are those who try to avoid looking nuts, and hatefully so.

It's a clear call to choose the latter.

And if there's an accusation in there, it's self-inflicted by confession.

Right, and he didn't follow the standard practice re his assets and his tax returns because he's hiding something which is why he will be found out by the special council and be impeached and hopefully prosecuted.

What makes this even funnier is that I honestly can't tell if you're being serious, or if you're just trolling us.

Jimmy, that would be "counsel", not council. And it would be silly to attempt to impeach Trump until there is a sufficient number of persons in the Senate who would convict and remove.

It would be even sillier when there is zero evidence that Trump is guilty of an impeachable offense.

Yep, thats what I said CP, not until the situation in Congress changes and we get rid of all those treasonous republicans who aid and abet in the cover-up of Trump and co's. criminal activity.

IIRC, the Republicans forced Carter to sell his family's inherited peanut farm, and put his assets into a blind trust, so that would be before Nixon.
Er, Nixon was before Carter - and Watergate played a significant factor in getting Carter elected.

I've checked your signature links many times over the years. I remember when you added the link to Frank's dismissal of critical thought. I've many times considering following up on your suggestion to learn, or brush up on, in my case, Greek.

I've never seen a link to Patriot Post in your sig.

                              It's not there now, either.

As to the Patriot Post, but me no buts that references to the "deep state" are not conspiracist. Nor is any reference to Hillary lying to the FBI anything beyond fake news. The PP's reference to this is false, and it's not a mistake. It's not sloppy, it's deliberate.
Hillary is an inveterate liar. That she would not have lied to the FBI, quite frankly, beggars belief. It takes some impressive twisting to pretend that she never lied to the FBI about sending classified information over her unprotected server.

Wow, it's even got a section on "race" on the front page. Looking through that section I see wonderful headlines such as "DOJ's Racial Witch Hunt [Against Whites] Isn't Over", "Black Sailor staged racist vandalism" etc. Breitbart at least removed their "Black Crime" section recently to try to pretend they were mainstream.

                                Also on the front page:
                                - "FBI: Deep State Collusion" ( ) which in a subheading asserts that the Trump-Russia dossier which keeps getting repeatedly confirmed and supported is "fake"
                                - An article on Tax Cuts which tries to pretend the the Republican bill isn't a massive tax hike on the middle class (+$4.5 trillion) combined with a massive tax cut for the wealth (-$6 trillion) and a resulting incredibly irresponsible addition to the national debt (+$1.5 trillion), and instead pretends it's actually good for the middle class, lol.
                                - Attempts to defend Trump's disastrous Jerusalem decision that has been condemned worldwide

But I'll give them credit for:
                                - Acknowledging Al Franken's resignation is a bit of a mess and a democrat own-goal.
                                - Acknowledging that the Republicans will use the Tax bill this year and the debt it creates as a motivation for cutting government programs next year.
"I hate him passionately", he's "a demonic force" - Tucker Carlson, in private, on Donald Trump
