Yeah I heard CNN' Jake Tapper was going on about the phrase "Allahu Akbar" and saying what a beautiful phrase it is. Sure "God is Great" is a nice phrase, but not when it is used to justify murdering people in the name of Allah.

And I find it so hypocritical of the MSM and the Democrats who are whining about the right politicizing this and calling on stricter immigration, when they did exactly that right after the Las Vegas shooting by making it a gun control issue.

IMHO BOTH are wrong. But since the left did it just a few weeks ago, at least have the decency to not whine about it now when the right does it.

I don't think stopping the immigration lottery will do anything to stop this sort of thing. But at least tightening up immigration isn't against the constitution like gun bans are. But the whole using this as an excuse to blame immigration is still a lousy thing to do from the right. At least wait a few weeks.

Your positive solutions would no doubt help, as would more attempts at control of the availability of bump-stocks.

I'm not sure that the victims here are being deceived; I think it is far more likely that there is a genuine disagreement between who've take honest stands on a difficult issue.

It is my opinion that there is nothing honest about the political level of anti gun hysteria. It is only about control of individual peoples lives. I think this is the only thing I have ever disagreed with you on so far.

Especially when you consider the fact that since the 1990s gun ownership has risen sharply while gun violence has experienced a sharp decline.

If access to firearms was the problem then this should not be the case.

I think it kind of evolved into a shtick after someone asked him if he was Russian due to the way he dropped certain words from sentences like a stereotypical movie/TV Russian speaking broken English.
