No, not one of you has answered. Your answer was a question asking, "what was the President supposed to do." You are definitely the one in denial, and you know it. It's amazing. You can't even be said to be suffering from cognitive dissonance or of being brainwashed. You have no excuse at all, because you know the facts of the case, you know Trump's response, or rather non-response to the attack, and you have no argument with which to defend him against the charge of either "dereliction of duty, High crimes and misdemeanors or treason.
But Im still waiting. Maybe someone of you blind Trumpian's can come up with some legitimate case for his innocence.

and then I listed what he did do (linky) and asked you again, what else should he have done. You are the one who never answered THAT question.

Nice try at evasion once again, Sparko. How about you just answer the question I posed. I'll make it easier for you because I need to get going. Just answer this: Was Trump derelict in his duty as President and Commander in Chief for sitting for Over 3 hours and doing nothing in defense of the ongoing attack on the Capital which he was watching on tv, and which his own staff and daughter pleaded with to do something to put it down. If not, why not? Im willing to bet you will run away again without answering the question .

No. Because he did what he could and the police had it in hand.

Now answer me: What do you think he should have done? Exactly and specifically.

Trump didn't even bother to call off the mob, despite fielding pleas to do so from Republican congressmen, until hours after the assault began.

When he did finally get around to doing so, they left the Capitol.

So that's one significant thing that Trump could have done after his incitement that he not only failed to do but intentionally refused to do in a timely manner.

He did. He told them be peaceful. He was not there when they broke into the capitol. If he made an announcement on TV to stop, how would they have even heard it?

They "left" when the police drove them out. And after Ashley Babbit got shot. By a capitol policeman.

But hey, thanks for stepping in and answering for JimL with a JimL-level "answer"

                      They had phones, dude.

Trump did not call off the mob and tell them to leave until many hours after the rioting began. This isn't a matter of debate, it's a known fact of a timeline that's been poured over on this very forum and elsewhere for years.

The Capitol Police did not "drive out" the rioters. That's the whole genesis of the "the police opened the doors for the protestors" lie. It was only after Trump released his "You have to go home" video (which, in modern day, travels through social media as well as television) that the rioters left the Capitol building.

You have every obligation to know these facts, at this point, and I'm guessing you did know these facts at some point in history. But the demands of the day require that you un-know them.

Oh right. They would just stop their rioting to answer the phone.

                        Here is a timeline:

                        https://www.npr.org/2022/01/05/10699...-what-and-when

Shows that Trump tweeted three times, twice to be peaceful (2:30P and 3P) and once to go home (4:17P)

                        They did not leave until

                        Shortly before 6 p.m.
Almost five hours after the rioting began, police start to clear the Capitol and eventually secure the interior.

Phones have notifications and, yeah, people were using their phones during the riot. You can see them on the videos and everything.

It's got to be so utterly demeaning, on a personal level, to have to play this dumb in service of a guy who not only attempted to undue a democratic election through illegal means but who'd be perfectly fine with you being the guy on 5th Avenue he shoots to make a point about loyalty. It certainly looks demeaning.

I added to my post above showing your claim that they left when Trump told them to is incorrect.

You're missing Trump's 6 PM tweet and neglecting the fact that most of the rioters had indeed left the Capitol by 6 PM.

Imperialism and free trade? Yes. Not globalism - not unless you have some different definition of the term.

I don't have that fear since he doesn't appear to be enamored with communism. And he wouldn't succeed anyway.

A wise man picks his battles, and Ukraine isn't one of them.
