So, I have a question regarding all the hubbub about the taking down of the Robert E. Lee statue. After taking down the statue, what was the plan for it? Was it just going to be moved elsewhere, and if so where?

I saw a spokesman for Rice University (Houston) explaining that they're removing a stature, but they're not really "removing" it, they're simply relocating it, and it will be, uh, placed in, uh, well, if, uh... if historians or students want to come study it, uh......

Sure makes it sound like it's going into a storage room or something. The guy couldn't look the camera or the reporter in the eye. It had all the flavor of "I really don't want to do this but I have no choice".

He was not a traitor and he changed his mind about slavery. He freed them 10 years before the war started, stated publicly that slavery was evil, and even paid to send any of his slaves who wanted to go to Liberia, a country created just for freed slaves. I have said this throughout this thread several times and you just keep ignoring the facts and repeating your lies. Please leave my thread.
