Freedom of speech was intended to allow for the peaceful resolution of conflicting ideas by allowing people to fight it out through debate rather than violence. In other words, you don't get to decide its scope. The moment you do, you set yourself up as dictator and give these people permission to kill you. Of course you and the rest of the left don't really believe in freedom of speech, nor have even the slightest understanding of why it exists. Don't worry though, you will learn the hard way when the next world war comes around.

Apparently Pelosi has been taking lessons on free speech from Tassman.

Pelosi represents what has become all too frequently seen on the left today. Free speech is a great idea but only as long as the speaker is saying something that they approve of.

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight

Watch them spit and spew when someone tries to limit what they can say. Don't they realize that trying to limit rights will eventually bite them in the rear? Kinda like the filibuster breaking rule they made.

The real irony is that the Free Speech Movement (FSM) came out of the left and its birth place was the University of California, Berkeley.

So you are saying that even though Antifa and BLM were at least equally involved in violence and hate speech, they do get a pass from the liberals.

You don't know if they were equally involved in the violence or not, but they certainly weren't their to promote racism as were the white supremacists. That you people continue to defend the white supremacists as being on equal footing with those who stand against them, sorry to say, is kind of telling.

They were not "equally involved" at all. They were reacting to the highly organised White Supremacist KKK Fascism at Charlottesville. And it is extraordinary and very telling that those loudest in maintaining the false equivalence between the two, despite the loud condemnation of political and business leaders, are the Evangelicals.

It's kind of a giveaway when the conservatives here see the neo-nazis marching with torches and are like "oh yeah, those are my guys, gotta defend them against all accusations of wrongdoing." Jed, Seer, Bill, Sparko, MaxVel etc are all flying their true colors here.

Being afraid of a few nuts, carrying tiki torches, while ignoring a group of violent sociopaths tells us how seriously anyone here should take you.

They are wimps compared to the REAL Nazis of Hitler's regime. They are literally like a child playing dress-up. We find them stupid but relatively harmless as a whole. It's when one of them decides to go beyond throwing a hand gesture and yelling a slogan that they become something more than a clown pretender. And THAT is when we have a problem with them. Until then, they are just morons in costumes.

And the fact that you simply can't see that distinction shows how unparalleled you are here at partisan hackery.
