An interesting aside in a piece in the NYT regarding accusations of sexual misconduct in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, including some leveled at the chair, Martin Gruenberg:
1) Imagine if a white Congresswoman had made a similar comment about a black official. 'Nuff said about that.
b. In a sense I agree with her. She has seen an awfully lot of "failing up" in her party but it's hardly confined to white males. I mean, when was the last time any Democrat resigned after screwing up royally? And when they finally do leave their position that typically is into a cushy job at a university, government agency or similar institution. Still, here is one obvious example of a white man "failing up" that literally does make her point.
