    No surprises there.

No Indeed! The pro genocide debaters on here are swallowing the Israeli leadership's propaganda greedily.......and vomiting it back up.

I feel quite sure that from October 7th onwards the Israeli leadership has been determined to raze Gaza and to remove all Palestinians. Maybe the West bank as well.

They obviously have no qualms about starving children either. I suspect some of our friends here hold the view that, concerning Palestinian children, nits grow into lice

Nope, no surprises. Suppose your country was under attack, and you knew that aid supplies being sent across the border were being used by the enemy to support its war efforts against you. Wouldn't you want to see aid deliveries suspended?

The other view being that if as many Palestinian children as possible die now it will reduce the numbers of Palestinian fighters in years to come.

We're not talking about children but the fighting age men who are stealing aid supplies and hoarding them away from civilians so they can continue their attacks on Israel.

Children are starving and thousands have been killed and/or mutilated.

                    https://www.thinkglobalhealth.org/ar...hamas-conflict April 2024

Ten days after an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) drone strike killed seven aid workers distributing food with the World Central Kitchen, USAID Director Samantha Power confirmed on April 11 what many humanitarian experts had claimed long prior: Famine is under way in the northern Gaza Strip.

Yet the seeds of Gaza's famine were sown long before these aid workers' deaths and even before the devastating October 7 attack by Hamas. In 2022, 64.3% of Gaza's population was already classified as being moderately or severely food insecure, and 77% of residents reported that all of their family members had reduced the number of meals they consume per day.

Even though Israel's war with Hamas has brought Gaza's population to the brink of famine, Israeli policies that predate October 7 created a food insecure environment that was uniquely vulnerable to this threat. Israeli government officials have emphasized Hamas's role in precipitating the hunger crisis, specifically, its history of diverting aid and stockpiling resources to benefit a select few, but a wide variety of aid groups insist that the biggest challenge to their famine prevention efforts is Israel's military campaign, not Hamas's hoarding of humanitarian assistance.

                    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/u...un-aid-in-gaza February 2024

RAFAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel has not presented specific evidence for its claim that Hamas is diverting U.N. aid, and its recent targeted killings of Gaza police commanders safeguarding truck convoys have made it “virtually impossible” to distribute the goods safely, a top U.S. envoy said in rare public criticism of Israel.

New airstrikes in central Gaza on Saturday killed more than 40 people, including children, and wounded at least 50, according to Associated Press journalists and hospital officials.

David Satterfield, the Biden administration’s special Middle East envoy for humanitarian issues, said that with the departure of police escorts following Israeli strikes, criminal gangs are increasingly targeting the truck convoys carrying badly needed aid. He said the lawlessness as well as regular Israeli protests at entry points by those opposed to aid going into Gaza have disrupted delivery.

                    • How long did you have to dig to find those stories? And they are from February and April? Hypatia_Alexandria using months old stories after chastising us for doing the same earlier? For shame!

Anyway, it has been reported and confirmed by multiple sources, which have been referenced throughout this thread, as you well know, that Hamas had stockpiled many months worth of supplies to support their war efforts, and that they have repeatedly stolen aid away from the people of Gaza. But, no, you go on pretending it's all the Jewish people's fault. That rather fitting for someone of your nationality.

Incredibly sad --- I wonder if Hamas gave that even a second's thought when they decided to strike at Israel.

Saleh al-Arouri, who was a founding commander of HAMAS' military wing, military commander of the West Bank and HAMAS' political bureau chair, expressed in an interview with on Mayadeen TV in Lebanon from last summer HAMAS' commitment to "total war" against Israel:

"Therefore, we are convinced that if a total conflict begins, the airspace and seaports of this entity will be shut down, and they will not be able to live without electricity, water, and communications."

Then perhaps Hamas shouldn't be using children as human shields.
