Yup. I mean why else attack the trucks that were there to give aid? Why not just wait till they got to the aid station and let them hand it out equitably? The only reason to attack and raid the trucks would be to hoard the contents of the trucks for themselves. Whether Hamas or rogue bandits the result is the same, they are keeping the aid for themselves and not spreading it out among the needy Palestinians.

And, since Hamas is the "authority" responsible for Gaza - IF it was rogue bandits, why wasn't Hamas there keeping order? It is mind-blowing how some people want so badly to believe the Hamas terrorists are somehow "the good guys".

Have you had a stroke or something? Hamas has had its forces blown to bits by Israel for the last six months. Did you miss that?

If Hamas currently has the functioning administrative capabilities to organise their way out of a paper bag, that would be a surprising plus.

And you want to know why Hamas troops weren't present, in a war zone where they would be killed, to stop banditry? WTF?! Does your IQ reach the double digits?

If you have any mind left, you'd realize not everything is Hamas's fault.

In your deranged fantasy, does Hamas have a giant mountain of aid in their bunker, that they are gorging themselves on while laughing at the starvation of their own people? You are just unhinged.

Always such a wonderful way to show you are interested in actual dialogue.

Hamas has had its forces blown to bits by Israel for the last six months.
So, in your way of thinking, no Hamas fighters exist at all, eh?

            Did you miss that?
No, sir, I am aware that they launched a horrific unprecedented attack on Israel, and Israel struck back.
There is no way on earth that Hamas thought Israel would just lie there and take it.

If Hamas currently has the functioning administrative capabilities to organise their way out of a paper bag, that would be a surprising plus.
Yet, they are still at war, still holding hostages -- dead or alive, we know not...

And you want to know why Hamas troops weren't present, in a war zone where they would be killed, to stop banditry? WTF?! Does your IQ reach the double digits?
You seem unusually triggered, Star, even for you. Durn near psychotic, in fact.

If you have any mind left, you'd realize not everything is Hamas's fault.
Hmmmmm.... remind me again, who started this current conflict?

And, speaking of strokes --- if you don't calm down a bit, you're gonna have one for real.

And somehow this "magic" giant mountain of aid has survived all the Israeli bombardment and remained hidden behind a wall of invisibility.

Hmmm..... have you gotten into JimL's stash? You have to invent a "'magic' giant mountain of aid" such that it cannot be carried into the warehouses and intricate tunnel network HAMAS has constructed?

Let's see --- when the facts don't work, just invent "magic mountains" that would be physically impossible......

I do not believe Hamas has access to these.

Given the bombardment that Gaza has sustained and the presence of IDF forces in that area, the comments from various individuals about Hamas stockpiling vast reserves of aid are frankly ludicrous.

Ah, there you go again --- "vast reserves of aid"..... rather than Hamas unloading these trucks - perhaps one at a time - and moving the goods, some of which will be consumed.....

That you have to purposely exaggerate things to make them less likely is not good logic.

I was intentionally exaggerating in reference to Starlight's comment about a "giant mountain".

And where exactly would the contents of one of these trucks be taken, where would the contents be stored, and how would those same contents be moved without attracting attention?

And it was necessary for him to grossly exaggerate in order to try to make a point - when you have to do that, you have given up the moral high ground.

UN Agency Accuses Hamas of Stealing Humanitarian Supplies, Then Deletes Statement

It seems there's some funny business going on...

The UN agency responsible for Palestinian refugees on Monday said that it had received reports that Hamas had seized humanitarian supplies from a UN compound in Gaza City before backtracking and deleting all references to the accusation.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in a statement said that fuel and medical supplies were seized from the compound, which they had evacuated on 13 Oct.

“UNRWA received reports this morning that yesterday a group of people with trucks, purporting to be from the Ministry of Health of the de facto authorities (DFA) in Gaza, removed fuel and medical equipment from the Agency’s compound in Gaza City,” UNRWA said. “UNRWA’s fuel and other types of material are kept for strictly humanitarian purposes, and any use of such assets for any other purposes is strongly condemned.”

“De facto authorities” is a term frequently used by the UN to refer to the Hamas terrorist group that controls the Gaza strip. The Gaza-based Palestinian Ministry of Health is likewise controlled by Hamas.

After posting the statement on their website and on social media on Monday, UNRWA then deleted the statement without explanation.

There is no need to falsely characterize these thefts with "mountain of aid" type nonsense. Again, we're not talking about humongoginormous trucks, but those commonly used in the region.

The link in your second reply is from October last year and while I am not condoning any seizure of aid, the subsequent bombardment Gaza has experienced along with the presence of Israeli forces has, I suspect, rendered more recent seizures somewhat unfeasible
