  • Priebus out - Kelly in -- Order in the House!

    http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/presi...ry?id=48916035

President Donald Trump has named Ret. Gen. John Kelly as the new White House chief of staff, replacing Reince Priebus in the role.

"I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American and a Great Leader. John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security. He has been a true star of my Administration," Trump said in a series of tweets Friday afternoon.

The chaos needed discipline and order - let's see if this works.

This WH is the most dysfunctional one in history because of one thing: Trump.

The dysfunction and chaos is a result of Trump simply not grasping that his public meltdowns are why he keeps finding himself in trouble, not his team. People keep saying "he's new at this!" and "he doesn't understand how things work" well, these people are trying to show him how things work, but he refuses to listen to any of their advise, and would rather be surrounded by people like the incompetent sycophants like he has on his legal team.

Like I said before, it's extremely unlikely he finishes his term.

Having his subordinates compete with Trump is his management style. The executive has been doing a well above average job so far, because the drama is mostly a smokescreen. It's the Republican congress that is genuinely dysfunctional.

3 Chief of Staffs in less than 3 years of being President: Part of the reason why @BarackObama can't manage to pass his agenda.

Note Reince Priebus was the shortest-serving White House chief of staff in American history.

Perhaps General Kelly can bring some order. You WANT that for our country's sake, right?

How unlikely was it that Trump would ever get the republican nomination?

Sure, but Trump won't listen to the things he doesn't want to hear, and he'll always do his own thing.

Pretty likely given the frustration people had with the other candidates and their failure rate as politicians.

Against Clinton? I was shocked it was close at all. The DNC ran the most unorganized campaign in history, and didn't take Trump seriously. Once the email scandal broke out, Clinton was simply doing damage control, and you can't have that against someone people are enthused by like Trump. What Trump always had going for him was his perception as a successful businessman, while Clinton was always seen as someone that simply used politics for financial gain. That's why I said he 'had it wrapped-up' on this forum back in October.

Trump is just too loose of a canon - even seven months in. Sooner or later, people, the Congress, and even his team, are simply going to not put up with it anymore. He is constantly playing legal jeopardy with his mouth, and who knows what Mueller could find. Push will come to shove, and he'll resign.

                That's my prediction anyway.

Yep... Priebus was a bit too "establishment" for my taste.

Meh.... Kelly is a whole different kind of guy.

Oh, for cryin' out loud - you guys were mocking and laughing, and the media was having a field day with Trump's "slim to none" chances.... he was counted out numerous times, and on election night, the liberal media talking heads were in absolute shock. Don't pretend you thought he actually had a chance --- nobody's buying that song and dance.

I agree - Hillary was probably the worst candidate who ran the worst campaign..... but the liberals were absolutely convinced... heck, they already had her coronation planned!

                      Yeah, somebody has to be.

I always thought he was a bit of a weenie, even when he was RNC.

Trump will finish his term, because the American government is set up in such a way that its almost impossible to remove a president short of him leaving voluntarily, and Trump would seriously surprise me if he did that.

                              It can't work.

Trump himself is the cause of the chaos and dysfunction in the White House. And it was entirely predictable. A narcissistic personality disordered person like Trump is invariably a catalyst for social dysfunction among those surrounding him...whether it is in a family setting, the work-place or in this case, the WH.

"A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs. You may be generally unhappy and disappointed when you're not given the special favors or admiration you believe you deserve. Others may not enjoy being around you, and you may find your relationships unfulfilling".
