Same. If you can beat the competition on price, you win.

I think the EVs are getting better. And the more they sell and build, the cheaper they will get. Mass production and availability will drive down the prices. I believe EVs are the future. I just can't justify getting one myself yet. I am not a "first adopter" - I tend to wait for the technology to become more mainstream before jumping on board. First adopters tend to get left behind when the technology matures. They end up with mostly useless tech that nobody wants that they paid a premium for.

Eventually their first gen tech might end up becoming collector's items.

From a consumer perspective, that means reducing the price of electrical vehicles to make them more affordable. From a government perspective, that means raising the price of gas powered vehicles in order to make the high cost of electric vehicles look like a bargain in comparison.

Yup. But all that really means is keeping the EV prices the same, as inflation keeps driving the cost of ICE up. The government doesn't really need to do anything else.
