No he didn't. He said he didn't meet with Russian agents. She isn't a Russian agent. So, there was no meeting with a Russian agent.

Not true he acknowledged that he was meeting with a Russian that could provide him with Russian intelligence information on Hillary Clinton. She would have to be claiming to be a Russian Agent to be able to provide that information. It turns she did not have any information, but the intent of Trump Jr. is clear and specific.

He did lie in saying he had not contact with Russians, and lied again when he said the meeting was only about adoption.

Let me see if I understand: Donald Trump Jr gets an email from a friend talking about how "this is apart of the Russian governments support for your fathers campaign", Russia hacks into the DNC, John Podesta, and state voter registration rolls, then Trump refuses to acknowledge the attacks as both serious and Russian, but they didn't know nothin' bout nothin'. gomer2.gif

In Trump's case, there's no evidence he did anything wrong, so his denials are plausible. In McFaul's case, it's hard to believe the Russian ambassador didn't at least have knowledge of a Russian lawyer who was granted special permission by the Obama administration to enter the US.

Don't you know? We can't believe ANYTHING the media reports at all, but we must take the word of people that continuously "can't recall" before they suddenly remember again once the media/feds show them proof of something they "forgot" .

Sparko, if there is some action which is improper in some way, then any extra information about that is indeed likely to be incriminating, one way or the other. The information available shows Trump Jr to indeed have engaged in some seriously weird stuff. He's guilty in that sense. (Not going to debate over whether it's legal/ethical/constitutional/whatever to give a label to the nature of the offense.)

So, yes, if he hides stuff, he's guilty of hiding stuff. If he makes false statements about connections (and that's now a matter of record) then he's guilty of making false statements. If he releases emails a matter of days after it becomes known that they are about to be revealed anyway, then yes, of course you have to suspect that a major part of why they are being released. This ought to be obvious. It isn't some irrational "liberal" campaign that is being unfair to Trump Jr.

Ever since the election, one after another, we've seen dozens of meetings that were previously denied, but shown to have existed via media and feds having to keep Trump honest.

This stuff is really not hard to understand. The Russian government wants a US foreign policy that is weak, and positions them as the number one super power. The various sanctions against the Russian government that effected their economy have driven Putin mad - especially in the realm of energy. Trump and his campaign are the very friends that Putin would love to be in office and compromise. Now that we know that the campaign was aware of the Russian efforts to help them, the possibility of the Trump campaign being privy to the cyber attacks designed to tilt the election in their favor is very real, and it's freaking the right-wing in this country out.
