  • Joe Rogan defends abortion in case of rape

Here’s a clip of Joe Rogan defending abortion in the case of rape:

I think the guest presents a very weak case. Joe is overemotional but the guest doesn’t seem convinced by his own logic.

    And?

I'm always still in trouble again

        I disagree with Joe Rogan.

Rogan is a nonreligious person, and quite liberal in a lot of his political views, so it's not surprising. I'm not sure what the point of the thread is, unless you assumed we're all fans of Joe Rogan and this was some sort of dilemma on our part you were hoping to create.

I think he could have made a better case. His “daughter” schtick doesn’t fly. Any female regardless of age who’s been raped should be able to get morning after treatment, whether the egg’s been fertilized or not.

No, it’s just a good launching point for a “hard cases” discussion.

Rape is evil. Murdering the unborn is evil. The Bible says not to return evil for evil.

I think the only time abortion is allowable is to save the life of the mother, and only if both cannot be saved by an early birth.

Exactly. Rogan's views have always been from the left so his support of abortion is hardly surprising. I guess that because he questioned the vaxx liberals concluded he must be a right winger. It seems that they somehow missed the fact that some of the loudest skeptics happened to be among entertainers who are also members of minorities. Hardly the place where you'll find a lot of MAGA caps.

Punishing the children of a rapist more harshly than punishing the rapist is immoral.

There’s flexibility in that rule. The Bible records many instances of innocents being slaughtered as repayment for evil.

Even in the modern application, can’t one be morally justified in supporting the slaughter of children in wartime? That seems to be what’s happening now.

My opinion is I have no problem with a woman who was forcibly penetrated to get morning after treatment.

One does not need to be liberal to defend abortion in the case of rape. It is heartless and immoral to legally force a woman or child take a pregnancy to term that is the consequence of a rape, especially if the pregnancy is discovered early, before the end of the first trimester, before even the most minimal capacity for physical consciousness has formed.

My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favoritism. James 2:1

If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not  bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless James 1:26

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; James 1:19
