I think people should be able to make mistakes (have poor judgment) without a destruction of a career.

This whole thing where people get lynched in the media is repulsive to me.

I'm letting people know that this is how I feel about it so when a conservative does it and gets mobbed I can defend him/her without appearing hypocritical.

What she did was tasteless (and she is a genuine idiot).
I just hate to see the people's court go after people's careers.

I'm sure she didn't believe she'd get the blowback that she's received.
It is common before doing a crazy stunt to make those sorts of claims.
