It looks like Jerrold I-poop-in-my-pants-in-public Nadler, who is the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, is calling on the DOJ to review what he calls a "miscarriage of justice." He wants federal charges brought.

        he made a stupid tweet.

"This heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by DOJ. Justice cannot tolerate armed persons crossing state lines looking for trouble while people engage in First Amendment-protected protest."

He repeated the lie that he crossed state lines with the gun. And he claims the rioters who were burning and looting were protected by the first amendment while Kyle defending his life was not protected by the 2nd? What a moron. I take this as nothing but bloviating.

Nadler is a nasty piece of work. I'll take him at his word that he's seeking federal charges against Rittenhouse.

          • So surprisingly the protests so far have been overwhelmingly peaceful. Except in Portland, unsurprisingly.

Portland Rittenhouse protest declared riot; windows smashed, objects thrown at police

Police in Portland, Oregon, declared a riot in the downtown area Friday night after a protest following the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict became violent and destructive near the Multnomah County Justice Center, authorities said.

Rioters were throwing objects at officers, smashing windows and damaging the justice center's front gate, FOX 12 of Oregon reported.

"Due to violent, destructive behavior by a significant part of the crowd, the gathering in downtown Portland is a RIOT. All participants are instructed to proceed away to the WEST," the Portland Police Bureau wrote on Twitter.

The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

He is also an idiot who knows nothing about the law. What is left they could charge him with? Can't charge him with murder because of double jeopardy. Can't charge him with crossing the state line with a gun because that didn't happen. Can't charge him with illegally caring a gun because that was ruled that he didn't break that law, which would have been a misdemeanor in the first place and federal can't charge him with breaking a state law.

He was cleared of state charges, but he could still in theory be charged with federal crimes, so technically not double jeopardy. And with the DOJ's "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime" attitude, I'm sure they would love the opportunity to put Rittenhouse under an invasive investigation to dig up anything they possibly can to charge him with.

But the DOJ is usually weaponized in a case like this involving civil rights or something -- they'd be hard pressed to find any such thing, particularly since we now know that one of the attackers was black.

Does it make a difference here that the judge's last words were "with prejudice"?

Securely anchored to the Rock amid every storm of trial, testing or tribulation.

Yes, it means the issue is over, and he cannot be tried for the same offense - ever.

Unfortunately, he has no power over the weaponized DOJ or FBI.
