There have been 147 mass shootings this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive, which defines a mass shooting as when four or more people have been shot or killed, not including the shooter.
The U.S. was wracked by a record high 610 mass shootings in 2020, the most of any year since the organization began tracking the number in 2014.

Typical (Median) Annual Death Rate per Million People from Mass Public Shootings (U.S., Canada, and Europe, 2009-2015):
    1. United States — 0.058
    2. Albania — 0
    3. Austria — 0
    4. Belgium — 0
    5. Czech Republic — 0
    6. Finland — 0
    7. France — 0
    8. Germany — 0
    9. Italy — 0
    10. Macedonia — 0
    11. Netherlands — 0
    12. Norway — 0
    13. Russia — 0
    14. Serbia — 0
    15. Slovakia — 0
    16. Switzerland — 0
    17. United Kingdom

This is a chart of the median, using the same data as the chart of the average (post #83.) The article here points out how the methodology for producing the table in post #83 is flawed.

It takes a lot of distorting and misunderstanding to twist that into a "suggestion."

That was why I asked you why you mischaracterized it as such.

Yet, here you are, doing exactly what you say you're not doing.

Worst shooting in U.S.: 59 dead.

Worst Shooting in Europe: 67 dead Norway 2011 (another 8 via a car bomb)

Worst vehicle attack in Europe: 87 dead in France 2016

I can provide multiple examples of where bombings killed far more than either.
So can I. But a few examples of bombings won't justify the "frequently" I was taking exception to. Nor the "mass stabbings".

              It's not a gun problem, Roy - it's a people problem.
Since the comparison was guns vs knives/bombs/vehicles, that comment isn't relevant since knives, bombs and cars don't magically jump out of houses either. It's just a distraction.

Too young to have stayed up for Carson but saw him several times on Laugh-In

I had hope given that you acknowledged that things like guns, knives and bombs "don't magically jump out of houses." But I guess that was just a bit too far of a step for you. Too bad. You were so close to.
