This is not what Trump supporters wanted. What they wanted was the GOP behind Trump. The crash and burn result is just the result of the Republican party choosing to support any establishment candidate, even if it turns out to be Hillary. They have to know that dividing the party is a guarantee of the other party winning. That was their preference over an outsider, that was their preference over any real change in the status quo.

Not all, but some, if not most. At least that's one of the main reasons I hear in the alt-mediasphere where most Trump supporters dwell. The fact the GOP is in disarray is a very satisfying reality to them. But the alt-media is where most of the people that don't hold any firm allegiance to either party seem to dwell, so they could care less how much this destroys the establishment rhinos.

Both parties are gilty of gerrymandering. This seems to just be another atempt at it, albeit on a larger scale. It's unfortunat but not surprising. Wile I wish House districts wer drawn by a nonpartisan agency, it's not like gerrymandering wil succesfuly destroy a party on its own.

It's screwed up kind of projection, but not quite projection

How to describe this kind of logic:

"Dem party is fragmenting but its okay cos GOP is fragmenting too!!!!'

Also seems like there is generation divide: older Trump supporters want Trump to redeem GOP so it's no longer establishment playground and money cow.

Younger ones more likely to say '[censored] them, burn it all down!!!'
