You realize there's not really a "nuclear trigger", right? It's not like he has a remote control in his pocket that he can just push a button --- like Clinton's "reset" (um... "overcharge") button with the Russians. There are levels of protocols, targeting information....

Even if he wanted to (which I don't believe he would) he can't just "pull a trigger" and release nukes.

The Seven Years War in the middle of the 18th century involved all of the great powers of Europe and was fought in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa and shortly after there were the Napoleonic Wars which were also fought all over the planet and involved a number of different countries

Of course, WWI wasn't called that until the next war -- it was simply "the GREAT war" or "the world war" or the "war to end war" or the "war to end all wars". But I think what made it a "world war" was the fact that it involved more of the continents than previous 'world wars'.

Wow. We're already in WW3? Fear mongering much? Too much listening to the Republican convention of fear based fear methinks.

I was going to ask who the sides are, and note that having to ask who the sides are would seem to indicate it ain't much of a war. But you've answered that question in a later post and apparently we're all at war with Islamic extremism. Well I guess all I can say in response is that we don't seem to be, and that I always figured WW3 would look a bit different to normal life.

The weirdest part of this election cycle is that because Trump's entire argument for his candidacy is that America is in the dumps and needs fixed so now it's Democrats who are the only ones rah rahing about how awesome out country is because, objectively, thing are better than they used to be. It's weird.

Oh, and if anyone wants to complain about that, please include your birth year so I can slap you in the face with crime statistics and maybe other stuff if I have free time after my canvass tomorrow.
