Playing with ouija boards or anything else along those lines certainly opens people up to demonic influence. And although believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit we are wise to stay away from such things.Last edited by mossrose; 07-21-2018, 04:57 PM.

Any idea where you read it?

I've thought about it, and my tentative answer is that I think we personalize demons a bit too much. Surely, they are intelligent to a degree and can work towards goals (maybe with some backstabbing along the way), but perhaps their rebellion against God and source of anybodies only true purpose has made them more like "balls" of chaotic energy. Like the Joker, they just do things, maybe for the lulz of spreading confusion or maybe they don't even know why they do the things they do. They lept at the chance when Jesus offered them the bodies of pigs to inhabit, but a truly introspective mind would wonder what they would do with a pig afterwards....
I dunno - the alternative was the Abyss - the pigs might actually have been the better choice.

Don't DO that! It's bad for you!
It does help if your doctor mentions this before you find out the hard way - as I did with zoloft..."He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

The only time I used an Ouija board was before I became a Christian, I was 19. I was skeptical of any supernatural element to the game, especially after nothing happened when I played it.
The next morning I walked into town and just before entering a store I suddenly got sick to my stomach and threw up everywhere, right in front of a mom and her child who just walked out of the store.
And it wasn't because I had rotten eggs for breakfast.
