Cogito ergo sum
Here in the Philosophy forum we will talk about all the "why" questions. We'll have conversations about the way in which philosophy and theology and religion interact with each other. Metaphysics, ontology, origins, truth? They're all fair game so jump right in and have some fun! But remember...play nice!

In your best possible, or perfect world, people no longer have the will to sin, to misbehave, I assume because god removes that will to sin from you. In this world, if we knew and established what those best rules of behavior were, there would be no difference other than the need for an enforcer, which means that the rules of behavior, aka the moral laws, needn't be objective realities in and of themselves but only that as rules of behavior they serve as the basis for the best of possible worlds.Atheism is the cult of death, the death of hope. Not to mention that "a better and safer place" doesn't look the same to everybody. To some people, "a better" world would be one in which nobody existed who didn't agree with their religion (I'm thinking primarily of fundamentalist Muslims here).America - too good to let the conservatives drag it back to 1950.
