    • Oh my word, are you on something lilpix? I said that you changed the wording in post #149 from that which you previously said in post #128 in order to make it look as though you never said that at all. I'd suggest that maybe you should get some sleep.

As for whether or not a Christian would commit suicide, I don't have an answer to that question.
But that goes against what LPOT was saying about how getting reset after reset until you finally get it right is a bad thing.

MM's point was that purveyors of smut irreparably harmed American culture. If anyone is a high profile purveyor of smut and inappropriate sexual behaviour it's Donald J Trump...on his own boastful admission. In fact most of the sexual scandals seem to emanate from Conservative politicians and Evangelicals. Google it.

Um... what? I never said one word about reincarnation, or whatever you want to call it.

More like you know you can't defend your view so you just dodge.

Attempt to further up the ante noted.

You're a smart guy, starlight. You should know by now this doesn't work very well on me.

True. Although we have a pretty good idea, we can't know for sure.

                        • One of the confusing things about this conversation is that several different words are all translated as "hell" in English translations of the New Testament. "hades" is used in Revelation 20:13 where the KJV says "death and hell gave up the dead who were in them" but this clearly isn't the same concept as other usages of "hell" in the NT that have a post-Final Judgment time frame in mind. "gehenna" and "tartarus" are also translated as hell elsewhere. Assuming no deathbed conversion, Hefner would seem likely to be in "hell" based on that translation of Revelation 20:13 but probably not in the same manner that most people are thinking.

That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

None of us know the details of anybody's future religious journeys. Don't be presumptive.

God knows, no one else does. If it should be that I do go to hell, I'll be sure to look you up.
