    Agreed. Isn't the whole pagan-paranoia essentially cultic as I know the Jehovah Witnesses, for example, love to emphasize the pagan origins of mainstream Christian practice. Those who cry "pagan!", I think, have yet to experience the implications of being a new creation in Christ and all that entails under the New Covenant.

          Agreed - I essentially see it as a way to dismiss another's argument without having to actually engage it with the intellectual rigor and honesty it might actually deserve. Unfortunately, I have seen well respected Christians do this all too often when dealing with intramural debates -- using guilt by association, or tainting the well -- I am not a fan of either.
