The art is good, since Jesus would say that if any are homeless he is homeless. But I agree that Jesus' personal situation wasn't what we would call homeless today, and identifying it as such seems in some ways demeaning to today's homeless.

Is that a copy of the one that was sent to the Vatican?

        Why would Jesus say that?

Seriously? That is the point of the sheep and goats.

I think it was artistic license so the artist would not have to portray the face of Jesus. The Crucifixion wounds would explain who the person was under the blanket.

No it isn't. The point of the sheep and the goats is about helping Christians, not helping all homeless people.

And how will you know whether a homeless person is Christian or not? Can you tell by looking at them? Do you ask a panhandler to recite the Nicene Creed before you drop a nickel in their cup?
                Don't call it a comeback. It's a riposte.

Precisely. We are to do good to all, and if in so doing without discrimination we help the brethren, greater is the reward.

And crap Obsidian, you sound like the "religious person" who passed by the injured man and justified himself by asking "who is my brother?"

Can someone look at that scripture and be that idiotically dense?

"Who is my neighbor?" Details matter. You're twisting things.

If we're talking about details, here's the actual passage. Luke 10.
31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.

So much for correcting Dee Dee on the details. I thought you Protestants were supposed to know Scripture

Neighbor and brother make no difference there dude. In fact neighbor makes my point stronger, thanks for pointing that out. With brother you could still argue that "only care about homeless if they are Christians" angle, with neighbor you have no excuse.

                                Apparently so. Jesus wept.
