Biblical Languages 301 Guidelines

This is where we come to delve into the biblical text. Theology is not our foremost thought, but we realize it is something that will be dealt with in nearly every conversation. Feel free to use the original languages to make your point (meaning Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic). This is an exegetical discussion area, so please limit topics to purely biblical ones.

This is not the section for debates between theists and atheists. While a theistic viewpoint is not required for discussion in this area, discussion does presuppose a respect for the integrity of the Biblical text (or the willingness to accept such a presupposition for discussion purposes) and a respect for the integrity of the faith of others and a lack of an agenda to undermine the faith of others.

                    The problem I have doing a Hebrew thread is like the problem I now have balancing the check book ― I just cannot do it any more.

                    May wife does not like to handle the check book ― which she could do if she were willing ― so she just takes it to the bank once a month and gets a clerk to do the necessary figuring to balance it.

                    Two or three days ago I spent the morning in a semiconscious state unable to even fix myself a cup of coffee or read anything on my iPad. My wife tells me that I just sat at the breakfast table asking for another cup of coffee until I had consumed four of them, and alternately turning my iPad off and then on again without doing anything with it ― I wasn't conscious enough to actually use it; I dropped it on the flour at least once that I remember, because I couldn't hold on to it.

                    However, I am still able to thank God with all my heart at the beginning and end of each day, for the fact that all my maladies are tolerable ― without the need for any medication.
