Gades keeps punching the tentacles as they come up

To hit 1: 17 + 9 = 26
Damage 1: 4 + 2 + 3 = 9

To hit 2: 1... + 9 = 10
Damage 2: I'm not even going to bother.

[Would Tumble Work? If not, 11 + 3 = 14. If so, then it's 19]

Siri steps toward Gades and readies an attack against the first tentacle that attempts to grab Gades or her.

[Tumble works]

Tentacles get shot and retreat as Twig and Siri attack. Punches have some effect - they retreat but not as far before coming back up. More new ones come up, although fewer than before. Gades manages to get out of the way of a particularly frisky tentacle.

The bridge is now a writhing mass of tentacles and impossible to pass. The small goat laments, from the safety of the horses, "Aww, man, we're gonna have to eat grass again!"

Actions?

I read the Grease spell, it says it is a layer of 'grease' so I'll allow it to be considered flammable if you guys want to burn down the bridge... for whatever reason... ]

[The idea was that it would make it impossible for the tentacles to hang on to the bridge.]

[They aren't clinging to the bridge - they are feeling around as if searching for something. The odd one will grab onto the bridge but lets go. Only one ripped out a spindle from the railing - they don't seem intent on harming the bridge, just grabbing things.]
