    Linus rules!
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)

Did you know that when that first aired 50 years ago the producers wanted to leave Linus' recital out because it might offend people?

But Charles Shultz insisted that it remain as it was, and the program has aired EVERY year since 1965!

Simply Amazing and Praise God. Schultz has done what no other man has been able to do. He has kept the message of Christ on the TV for all this time.

It is hard to believe that, 50 years ago, someone would have even thought people might be offended by this.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

I was very surprised too when I read that the other day. Proves there is nothing new under the sun.

Well certainly the TV producers were offended. Funny how they could desire the sound of Christmas but not the Spirit of Christmas.

If there were honesty instead of profitability in mind, they would simply avoid anything with a Christmas or Christian theme -- just play reruns or something. If integrity were involved, they would show Christmas including the Christian message.
