Lobby Guidelines

You've made it through the revolving doors and now you can mingle and mill about. If you feel like spamming, please head down the hall to the right to the RecRoom. But, if you'd like to meet people, chat about nothing in particular, you know...have polite conversation that doesn't seem to fit easily into any of the other rooms, this is the place!

The Lobby is not for serious debates, there are other areas for those types of conversations. It is more for relaxed chatting or discussing things that don't fit elsewhere. Politics, religion and philosophy have their own place on the site

    Hello children,

So what do you guys think of the tiny house movement? Why or why wouldn't you choose this lifestyle? Say you are a relatively young man, single, and can pay for a tiny house in full - what would prevent you from taking the plunge and living such a life?

    Thank-you, children.

I saw the thread title and thought, "What is this, an institute for ants? It needs to be at least...three times bigger than this!"

Maybe if you were totally sure you weren't getting married anytime soon.

Assuming for a moment I was still single.... I like the idea, though that seems awfully small.

I don't think heartablaze is gonna accept my proposal so most likely I'll remain single for quite sometime.

I would most likely spend the majority of my time outdoors, which I do now anyhow. In the winter months (assuming I was in such a climate), I would mostly read, eat, sleep, and pray - isn't there a book with a similar title? lol.

Tiny Homes? I dated his sister in high school!
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

That was Tiny Holmes whose sister was Tina -- who everybody dated at one time or another.

I'm always still in trouble again

Might be better for an old single guy who did not expect to marry, or remarry.

And everything he owned he could carry on his back.

My father's tool shed was bigger.

I really have no desire to marry, and this desire is only growing stronger. I'm not old but I'm not young-young either.

That's how I live now. I'm a minimalist when it comes to possessions and owning 'stuff'.
