Lobby Guidelines

You've made it through the revolving doors and now you can mingle and mill about. If you feel like spamming, please head down the hall to the right to the RecRoom. But, if you'd like to meet people, chat about nothing in particular, you know...have polite conversation that doesn't seem to fit easily into any of the other rooms, this is the place!

The Lobby is not for serious debates, there are other areas for those types of conversations. It is more for relaxed chatting or discussing things that don't fit elsewhere. Politics, religion and philosophy have their own place on the site

But remember, always play by the rules: here

  • BPme app

I've been using the BPme app at the gas station (at BP stations). Once you've used it a few times, it starts accumulating rewards so about every other fill up, you get 5 cents off per gallon. For me, the real draw is not having to risk having a skimmer set up where you swipe your card.

Costco is working on a key fob right now. It's only available in a few areas so far but I'll probably get one once they have them here.

I have one of those "tap to pay" cards, but it rarely seems to work. Maybe I'm not tapping appropriately?

Perhaps you're just all tapped out

I'm always still in trouble again

May be a dumb question, but is it usually that obvious when a skimmer is set up?

I think it's really hard to hide from anybody who's even remotely paying attention, but, obviously, there are people who are fooled, or they wouldn't go through the trouble to do it.

Our local CircleK has been pretty vigilant, TWICE reporting somebody trying to install skimmers and providing video to local police.

We had one at our local Walmart that was reported by a customer, and police showed up to work with Murphy to remove it, and request video, but I don't think they could nail down a time frame, as that pump was the one with the worst camera view.
