Reds, whites and blacks should NOT be in the same load - unless you just like all your laundry coming out a icky shade of brown. Like colors together - especially reds which just seem to like shedding dye - and whites get the chlorine bleach.

How many kids have you washed and had them bleed dye? Pro-tip: washing kids should not result in bloodshed - not counting pulling out your own hair, of course...

Yes, the wash cloth shouldn't be that scratchy. But what if the clothes are nicely worn out? Then they won't bleed dye.

I always do whites, lights, and dark. Whites always get hot and cold. Lights, warm and cold. Darks, warm and cold.

I wash in cold water using Tide for Cold Water. Don't have a problem.
