I got dragged kicking and screaming to Windows because my computer clients were switching, and I had to dive in. Mac just seems so Ben & Jerry.

In college, I used IBM 3090s and 3091s running System/360 and 370; Cray X-MP, Y-MP and -2s under UNICOS, a Unix-based OS built at NCSA; and a PDP-11 running under an OS we built ourselves, but still Unix-based. The Crays were by far the most powerful, the first true megaflop machines from a time when personal computers were barely in the kiloflop range.

      There's Unix, there's Unix-based, and there's also-rans.

Why should I switch to an unfamiliar system when the one I'm currently using works just fine?
Because whale oil blackens the walls and stinks up the room.

      Mixed metaphors seem so Windows.

      Does that lead to dancing?

Well, yes. That's why I'm not so sure it's an improvement over the olive oil I'm currently using.

I'd apologize, if it meant anything. My ancestor appeared a bit embarrassed about the whole thing after the fact.

My ancestors were not even in the US during the slave days.
Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

shuny lived it up all his life on the blood and tears of slaves. now that he's old and on death's doorstep he wants to "apologize" by making other innocent people pay for his crimes.
