I think it might have something to do with how the left celebrated the return of the "professionals" and the "grownups" to the White House and kept presenting old Joe's picks as being the best of the best. Now, as we've watched several of them bumble about like drunken bulls in a china shop, screwing things up majorly, they can't afford to admit that these best of the best "professionals" are incompetent boobs, so they just grit their teeth and hope to ride it out until they decide to eventually retire or the duffer gets the boot.
