China sent a top official to make nice with Kim once they decided he wasn't going to get tossed out quickly enough, and he responded by sending his girl pop band to China to perform for the party. Then the day they were to perform, Kim announced they'd managed to develop a thermonuke, which pissed China right off, seeing they were only making nice under the understanding he'd stop pulling those stunts. So they downgraded the party reps who'd show up for the girl band concert, and Kim responded by canceling the concert and yanking the pop girls back to NK in a huff.

Continuing his tizzy, he set off a nuke.

Must have run out of favorite uncles to execute for not clapping loud enough.
