Ugh imagine all the young Swedes fleeing shamefully from their own country's enrichment then settling there, living within their means, and having kids. Probably end up voting Sweden Democrats, who as we know are the real racists.

Like the rich folks who run Bank of America, JP Morgan & Chase, and Wells Fargo and Citigroup and Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs and Bank of New York Mellon Corp and others.

The lower 90% people still have cable so they can make do, they are more used to being broke anyway. There's always hot dogs and bologna and bread on sale.

Finland does have a higher quality people, at least if you measure it by PISA scores. Some people worth investing in, some not so much.

It's another form of QE. I don't agree with any form of QE or monetary manipulation of the economy by a central bank, but it beats giving it to banks (a la US QE) don't it?

Btw, the reason that seemed lost from the OP article (they argued specifically for unemployment reasons) is this...

People ought to take the money out of Monopoly game boxes and try to trade it for actual goods or services. How many Monopoly 100s for a whitewashing job done in one hour?

We do have a universal basic income. It's called the minimum wage. The catch, of course, is that you have to actually work for it.

It would BE welfare and you realize that the government operates on a deficit and actually is in debt and has no "growth?"

And why should I work my butt off to give my money to someone who just wants to sit at home and collect a minimum income check??

I have enough trouble just supporting myself much less some bum

Current welfare systems. It's a replacement.
