although we should certainly keep a close eye on them.
To pretend that today's "radical" Muslims are not behaving consistently with the history, tradition, and theology of their religion is dangerously naive.

Furthermore, radical Muslims are not behaving consistently with the history, tradition, and theology of their religion. Or do you think mainstream Muslims have a history of willfully going around and killing all non-Muslims, just because they are non-Muslim? They have no more and no less of history of doing that, than mainstream Christians have a history of killing people just because those people are non-Christians.
We're not talking about things that happened hundreds of years ago like the Crusades (never mind that low-information morons like you don't understand what the Crusades were really about), we're talking about things that are happening right here, right now and that will continue happening so long as namby-pamby liberals keep falling for that "religion of peace" bullcrap.
Would you like a refresher on recent radical Christian violence?
The free world is at war with the nation of Islam.

No, the sooner we stop listerning to Islamaphobes like you, the sooner people can actually make progress on issues like this. What the right-wing needs right now is (ironically) folks like George W. Bush, who can come in and quell the anti-Muslim prejudice that's seething in various portions on the right. Otherwise, those portions of the right will continue to embarrass their political parties with insane claims about how thousands in Muslims in New Jersey were cheering for 9/11, or how we should cease allowing Muslim immigration. Once again, the Republican Party will be known as the party accepting of bigotry.
