How is that not refusing to perform a service?

It's only part of the services they offer. Businesses can refuse to offer dine-in services to those who are not wearing shirt and shoes, but not drive-thru.

If I owned the pizza place here is what I would do if a gay couple wanted me to supply pizzas for their ceremony.

I would remind them that this is a Christian business and point out all of the Christian paraphernalia around the restaurant. I would say, "As part of our catering service, we provide a free sermon on the gospel, and hand out free bibles and various pamphlets" then ask them if they still wanted us to cater their ceremony. If they say yes, then make sure the pizza boxes are printed with various bible verses, include a free bible for everyone, give a sermon on sin and how Jesus died for them, etc.

If they want the pizza but not the extras, then tell them they are welcome to get them as take-out, but our catering service includes the extras because as a Christian business our goal is to spread the gospel. Their decision.

My delivery truck would also have various bible verses printed on it.

            This is interesting...

A Christian contacts 13 Gay and Pro-Gay bakeries and ask them to make them a cake supporting traditional marriage.

Christian Man Asks Thirteen Gay Bakeries To Bake Him Pro-Traditional Marriage Cake, And Is Denied Service By All Of Them
So Shoebat.com decided to call some 13 prominent pro-gay bakers in a row. Each one denied us the right to have “Gay Marriage Is Wrong” on a cake and even used deviant insults and obscenities against us. One baker even said all sorts of profanities against Christians and ended the conversation by saying that she will make me a cookie with a large phallus on it.

The videos on the page do contain profanity (by the bakeries) so be warned.

Shows that it is OK to force Christians to go against their constitutional protection of faith. But if the tables are turned, they have no problem discriminating against Christian requests.

In Liberalland, Tolerance is a one-way street.

Yup. Now if I was in the business of making wedding cakes, I'd have no problem making them for both homosexual weddings and conservative Christian weddings. I'd just be concerned about doing a good job and getting paid.

And this is just sick, but expected in the liberal "let's be tolerant" world:

The Head coach at a highschool posted that he wanted others to join her in burning down Memories Pizza.

At least the school took swift action and suspended her, and had her twitter account deleted. The police were also notified and are investigating.

                  Also:
Someone spoofed a Memories Pizza website (the business didn't have one) and filled it with gay pornography.
A Google search showed early Wednesday afternoon that the website redirected to a dating website for gay men. Later in the day, the website was removed from Google, but users who went directly to the website found pornographic images and lewd commentary. The Memories Pizza website appeared at the top of the site with the slogan, “Call us to cater your gay wedding.”

Personally I think pro-gay businesses have a right to refuse to promote or participate in anti-gay activities. And I think anti-gay businesses have a right to refuse to promote or participate in pro-gay activities. But here in the Liberal USA, the first is OK and the second is "bigotry" - and that hypocrisy is what I have a problem with.

I still say though that if you are a Christian run business, you should use every business opportunity to spread the gospel and your views to everyone equally. Then when some liberal hate group tries to corner you, you go ahead and sell them the service they want, but include your standard Christian services of spreading the gospel too. That way they can't claim you are just doing that to them, since you do it for everyone. They either have to take the gospel and product, or go somewhere else. I bet most would just go somewhere else.

I think he should have asked them to make cakes/cater for a "Gay Marriage is Wrong" event, gays aren't really asking Christians to make cakes that say "CHRISTIANITY IS A LIE" . Unless they want their wedding cake to have two grooms on it I suppose. It would have been a stronger argument
"Some people feel guilty about their anxieties and regard them as a defect of faith but they are afflictions, not sins. Like all afflictions, they are, if we can so take them, our share in the passion of Christ." - That Guy Everyone Quotes
