Surely the (currently unproven) notion that the Justice Department is quietly working to stamp out illegal activity throughout Washington DC is less dark and insidious than a two-year investigation into non-existent Russian collusion that effectively tied the hands of an innocent President, or impeaching him based on literally no evidence of wrongdoing, or prosecuting an innocent General for false charges. As far as I can see, Qanon is just a harmless diversion. The real damage to our country is being perpetrated by the Democrat party.

Do you even know anything that QAnon has posted? I don't recall seeing anything racist. From what I have seen it is mostly patriotic stuff but it has weird things about secret indictments and arrests of political people who have done evil things.

I think the patriotic stuff is the lure to hear the apparent justice being pursued. Like MinuteMan mentioned, it seems to seek to appease people in light of all the criminal politics going on.

I think "the Deep State" is best described as the professional bureaucrats throughout the government who hold more or less permanent and influential positions independent of whichever party happens to be in charge. The best example I can think of is Sir Humphry Appleby as seen in the British documentary series Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister.

I include the effects of events like Clinton's firing of all the lawyers in the DOJ to place his own. This is how I remember the situation. This left his influence in long lasting ways. I think this sort of control has happened in more extensive ways. There is also a question of the effect and power behind the Epstein flight logs and other records.

The deep state is stuff like corrupt Fauci's ties with Gates and Fauci's name on vaccine patents, to gain from vaccines deployed on the people. It is governors prohibiting churches from operating on the same terms as casinos or Costcos -- and placing artificial limits on the number of people who can meet in church buildings.

Like I've said before, I don't know Qanon from Alanon. Nobody I know knows anything about it, except that the liberals like to accuse conservatives of being "in it", to counter claims about BLM or antifa.

The concern is that this group [or rather these groups as it seems to be a loose affiliation] are infiltrating mainstream politics; and that has to be alarming to any tolerant and liberal minded individual who values democracy and the freedoms that come with it.

The internet and social media permits these groups to connect with one another. The alt-Right Generation Identity [GI] has targeted young people across Europe with its fashion conscious dress code and its ability to offer its extremist views by clever branding and coded language [the latter has long been popular with the young].

Various alt-Right political groups continue to thrive across all of Europe and the vile prejudices and ignorance they peddle are the same as those we read about from the past. Such mindsets have not gone away, they have festered and transmogrified. Now Jews AND Muslims are targets along with vaccination programmes, the Chinese [another group that has been stereotyped and stigmatised in the West], the Bilderberg group, and virtually anything the individual[s] wish to attribute to the "other" who live among them, or to groups that are believed to be international cabals of some description.

Of course extreme groups have existed for many years but the internet and social media have given them a powerful weapon.
