Chefs are anything but menial laborers. They are well paid with many making well into six figures of income. Many of the best are multi-millionaires.

I recognize that this is the way you wish to spin the current corporate trend, but whether that trend is worth of criticism or not, the reason for it is not what you've stated.
That is the literal result though isn't it?

          Nope.

Is anyone complaining about pictures of a black woman on hair coloring products?

If they rename it "Uncle Tom's" then they can leave the black guy on the product and just say he is a Republican (red box)

Yeah, they basically are. Like I said, how could something like a picture of a smiling black man in a chef's uniform that has always been a positive piece of Americana be construed as racist? Nobody would care if they were illustrations of white people. It's only because they are iconic images of black people that liberals have a problem. It's stupid.

                      And from the Babylon Bee:

Source: Cracker Jack Changes Name To More Politically Correct Caucasian Jack

When ballparks finally open again, those standing for the traditional seventh-inning stretch will be singing some different lyrics to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

After over 100 years of selling its caramel popcorn snack under the name Cracker Jack, Frito-Lay announced today that it would be rebranded as the less offensive "Caucasian Jack."

"We are very sorry to all the crack---er, I mean, Caucasians we have hurt over the years," said a spokesperson. "Cracker is an offensive stereotype, and we must make sure that all foods and snack products are culturally sensitive. Think about all the white people who have had to suffer in silence as tens of thousands of baseball fans sang out the hurtful lyrics 'Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks.'"

"No more. The bigotry stops today."

The move was applauded by hurt white people, though they are still criticizing Frito-Lay for how pale and pasty-white the Cracker Jack guy is on the logo.

Former slave -- who used her financial freedom to become an activist and promote antipoverty programs.

You know, 10 years ago if someone demanded that we start yanking black people from marketing imagery they would be looked at as being racist. But now...

That's a good one. "White" bread is something of a challenge. How about "color-indeterminate" bread?

Now other brands are following suit. Uncle Ben's, Mrs Butterworth and Cream of Wheat have made announcements that they too are going to be reviewing their packaging also. The message I am being told here by the left is that they think black people should not be allowed on food packaging. I don't see anybody trying to cancel Aunt Bessie, but then again she is white and according to the left having white people on packaging is fine.

I'm a leftist, and I think companies should package their products however they see fit. Apparently these company's think it's time for a change, that's all. According to the Aunt Jemima bottle pictured above, they already changed the image in the past. I never really noticed the change, or even heard about it, because I never consumed the stuff anyway. Is there some kind of wide spread leftist protest going on that I'm not aware of?

No, they basically aren't. You're being a contrarian simply because your argument doesn't have a leg to stand on - for the reasons I've laid out, but which you've ignored.
